Yoga Studio Open Day in Aid of York Against Cancer

17 Oct 2024

Hotpod Yoga York will be running £5 charity yoga classes in partnership with York Against Cancer to help us in our mission to support as many people affected by cancer as possible.

Located by Dunnington, York, just shy of 5 miles from the city centre, Hotpod Yoga York – whose renowned method turns the dial up on a typical yoga class, deepening the physical effects – will be offering first-time visitors classes for a £5 donation to York Against Cancer – and the chance to experience the feel-good power of yoga first-hand.

Hotpod Yoga York studio co-owner, founder and teacher, Victoria, said: “Autumn is a natural point in the year where people look to reset routines after their summer holidays. At Hotpod Yoga York, our mission is to inspire people to feel great through the power of yoga and this open day is intended to give more people the opportunity to take advantage of our unique approach. York Against Cancer is a charity close to our hearts, and we’re pleased that we can also support them. This fundraising open day is also hosted in support of one of our loyal customers and elite long-distance runner, Helen Cross, who is fundraising for York Against Cancer as part of her own recovery and for her Yorkshire Marathon mission this October.”

Helen Cross shared, “My chance of meeting with Oli and Jules at a race I’ve done last year brought me to Hotpod Yoga York. This meeting was invaluable to my acceptance of what is my road to recovery from battling with breast cancer, as yoga was nowhere near my training and wellbeing radar before I met them! I now can’t imagine life without Hotpod Yoga York and love the space Vix & Oli have created!  Physically and mentally, I know I am better for Hotpod Yoga. Each and every teacher at Hotpod Yoga York is amazing and unique.”

Hotpod Yoga York co-owner, teacher and personal trainer, Oliver, also added, “A Hotpod Yoga class is a one-of-a-kind experience that caters to all levels. It’s an immersive, multi-sensory experience that feels a million miles from the everyday. Glowing lights, rhythmic beats, aromatic scents, all wrapped up in a comfortable 37 degree heat.”

The open day will be on Saturday 26th October and four classes will be held:

11:30am-12:30pm, 1-2pm, 3-4pm and 4:30-5:30pm.

To book, simply purchase an Open Day Pass for £5 from the website here and use it to book onto an open day class.

Please note, this will be limited to new customers to Hotpod Yoga York only, as the aim is to get as many new people as possible to try yoga and feel its benefits.
