The Leveson Centre – The Press Business Awards Innovation of the Year Finalist!

We’re thrilled to announce our new cancer support centre, The Leveson Centre, based at York Community Stadium has been shortlisted for Business Innovation of the Year at The Press Business Awards 2023!
Managed and fully funded by us here at York Against Cancer, we couldn’t be more proud of all The Leveson Centre has achieved. Whether they have walked in, called up or made an appointment, The Leveson Centre has helped over 2,200 people so far and our services only continue to expand.
People who have been affected by cancer can make use of a range of resources at the Centre, from free complementary therapy sessions to Pilates classes, Look Good Feel Better workshops and much more. Most recently, we have begun a Wellbeing Choir to help uplift and connect those in similar situations.
The Leveson Centre offers a warm, relaxed environment for cancer patients and their loved ones to come and sit with a cuppa, chat with our friendly, expert team, and forge a community. Through the Centre, we hope to offer support to as many people affected by cancer as we can.
This award focuses on businesses and organisations that are bringing about change for the better by the application of new thinking and ideas. The winners will be announced on November 30th at York Racecourse and we can’t wait to see the results!
