We’re hiring a Charity Support and Administration Officer!

Charity Support and Administration Officer
York Against Cancer | York | £12.99 per hour | 20 Hours per Week | Fixed-Term for 6 Months (with the possibility of extension)
Be the person who helps everything run smoothly.
You are organised, approachable and love helping people. You’re the person who notices what needs doing, keeps things on track and is happy to roll up your sleeves to support wherever needed.
At York Against Cancer, every role contributes to making life a little easier for local people affected by cancer. As our Charity Support and Administration Officer, you’ll play a vital part in the day-to-day running of the charity, supporting colleagues, volunteers, supporters and visitors while helping ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. One day you might be welcoming visitors, processing donations and updating supporter records. The next you could be helping organise a fundraising event, supporting one of our Hope Emporium Gift Shops or assisting colleagues with an important project.
If you’re looking for a role where your work genuinely matters and where you’ll be part of a friendly, passionate team, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing
· Providing administrative support across the charity.
· Welcoming visitors and responding to telephone and email enquiries.
· Maintaining accurate supporter and donation records.
· Preparing correspondence and supporter communications.
· Supporting fundraising events and campaigns.
· Helping ensure our office runs efficiently and professionally.
· Providing flexible support across different areas of the organisation, including occasional retail support where required.
· Working closely with colleagues, volunteers and supporters to help deliver the charity’s aims.
