An update from the JBU – cell communication and bladder cancer

The latest research from the Jack Birch Unit has revealed fascinating information, delving into how direct communication between cells can help maintain healthy human tissue. Funded by York Against Cancer and published in the journal Life Science Alliance, this research could lead to pioneering new treatments for bladder cancer.

York Against Cancer has been funding research in the JBU since 1995, digging into the causes, treatment and prevention of bladder cancer. Now led by Professor Will Brackenbury, the JBU is ever expanding its cancer research programme to significantly enhance clinical impact for cancer patients.
