York Rocks Against Cancer 2022 – POSTPONED

It is with sadness that we announce that ‘York Rocks Against Cancer’ – our live music fundraiser – scheduled for Saturday 8 January 2022 is being postponed over concerns about the spread of the Omicron variant.

Cancer patients and their families have – and always will be – at the heart of everything we do here at York Against Cancer. We feel that it would be irresponsible to go ahead with the live music event at this time.

We must do everything we can to support the most vulnerable people in society and protect the NHS.

Julie Russell, General Manager at York Against Cancer said “I really am sorry to disappoint ticket holders and I’m heartbroken for the fundraisers and supporters that have put their heart and soul into planning the event.

That said, we must prioritize the health and safety of patients that use our services or have done in the past, the artists and crew, our volunteers, staff, and wider community.

We must do the right thing.”

We are working closely with York Barbican to reschedule the event and will announce the new date asap!
