Have you seen our beautiful Christmas cards lining our shop shelves? Pick from an assortment of adorable animals, magical York Scenes or classic Christmas wonderlands and get ahead of the curve this Christmas.
100% of the profit from our Christmas card sales, as well as all retail sales go straight back into York Against Cancer to help us continue our services. By purchasing Christmas cards, calendars, gifts or anything else from our shops, you’re helping us fund support services like our minibus that travels over 16,000 miles each year, taking cancer patients from their homes in York to St James Hospital, Leeds free of charge. Our respite properties in Filey and Yapham which allow cancer patients and their loved ones to take a beautiful holiday along the Yorkshire coast or beside the stunning Wolds, getting some well-earned time away to relax, regroup and recuperate no matter what stage of treatment they’re in.
Our cancer support centre, The Leveson Centre, is another proud promoter of our cards – you can find them along the shelves whenever you pop in. The doors to The Leveson Centre are always open for anyone to come in for a cuppa and a chat with our friendly staff or join in with one of our community groups such as our Wednesday coffee mornings or Tuesday Wellbeing Choir sessions. Alternatively, get in touch to book in an appointment for free complementary therapy sessions, Pilates, adolescent psychological services and more.
Not only are our Christmas cards lighting up the shops, but we’ve also got our brand new 2024 York Against Cancer Charity Calendars just waiting for you to take them home! Full of the winners’ photos from our Yorkshire Focus competition, the calendars are overflowing with stunning pictures of local landmarks taken by local people.
