Stephen McLeod’s Halloween ‘brave the shave’ raised £2k for York Against Cancer

On Sunday 30th October 2022, Stephen McLeod from Pavers braved the shave in aid of York Against Cancer.

Stephen said “This charity is close to my heart with many friends and family battling  against Cancer.  York Against Cancer is an invaluable charity helping and supporting residents across York and surrounding areas.  I just want to give a little back for the help it has given to my family. I started the evening as Cousin It and ended it as Uncle Fester!”

Stephen raised a fantastic £1,000 which was matched by his employer, Pavers, meaning the total donation that came through to the charity was £2,000!

We want to take this opportunity to thank Stephen for this brave gesture and the fantastic amount raised!

The money raised will be used to provide care and support to cancer patients in York, North and East Yorkshire as well as fund lifesaving research into cancer at the Jack Birch Unit.
