Light a light on the York Against Cancer Christmas Tree 2024
26 Sep 2024
Once again this Christmas, we invite you to help us illuminate our Christmas tree by sponsoring a light in memory of a loved one. The tree will be blessed and the lights illuminated at our carol service on 7th December 2024 at 2pm, at All Saints Church, Church Lane, Huntington, YO32 9RE. Please note the change of venue from last year.
To light a light on the tree in memory of someone special, we ask for a minimum donation of £5 for each name. The name of each person will be entered into the Book of Remembrance, which will be available to view at All Saints Church during the carol service. After the carol service date, the book will be kept in The Leveson Centre at York Community Stadium, and will also be available to view on our website.
Alternatively, paper Light a light forms have been posted with our newsletter where you can purchase a Light a light via post. If you haven’t received a printed form, you can collect one from our office or our gift shops at York Community Stadium or York Hospital.
If you would like to attend the carol service, please let us know how many people you will be attending with by emailing office@yorkagainstcancer.org.uk
The last date to sponsor a light has now passed.
York Against Cancer relies on donations to support our services in aid of cancer patients and their loved ones. These services include our free minibus transportation to radiotherapy appointments in Leeds, free respite breaks for cancer patients and their loved ones, and our cancer support centre, The Leveson Centre, as well as the funding of world-leading cancer research. Your donations help us to support people across York, North and East Yorkshire now and into the future.
Thank you for your support.
