Book of Remembrance 2023

Every year, we hold our Light a Light ceremony where people help us illuminate our Christmas tree in York Community Stadium by sponsoring a light in memory of a loved one.

On Saturday 9th December, we were honoured to have the wonderful singers of Stamford Bridge Community Choir perform a beautiful carol service during the ceremony. We were also joined by Reverend Chris Parks from All Saints and St Andrews in Huntington, Earswick and New Earswick, who blessed the tree and turned the lights on.

In addition to the light on the Christmas tree, each person that remembers a loved one through our Light a Light campaign also gets their loved one’s name in our annual Book of Remembrance. This book can either be viewed in person in The Leveson Centre or found online below.
