Vacancy – Leveson Centre Assistant

Are you a skilled administrator who is passionate about supporting people affected by cancer? Are you organised and reliable, with the confidence and communication skills to be able to support others in sensitive situations?

The Leveson Centre is York Against Cancer’s dedicated cancer support centre, offering a warm, welcoming, “home-from-home” environment for cancer patients, their families, and friends. Named after Steve Leveson, one of the Charity’s founders, the Centre provides a wide range of holistic support services, including:

  • Weekly coffee mornings and a wellbeing choir
  • Complementary therapies
  • Pilates and yoga classes
  • Advice on benefits and welfare from Citizens Advice
  • Specialist psychological support for young people affected by cancer

The Centre plays a vital role in our community — creating a safe, supportive space away from a clinical setting, where people can connect, take part in wellbeing activities, and access the practical and emotional help they need. We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and highly organised individual to join us as the Leveson Centre Assistant.
