Knowing you’re helping our work here in the local community is very rewarding. Our funds help in many ways but our three key areas of funding are lifesaving research, education and awareness, and cancer care.

• Fund a £700k mobile chemotherapy unit for York and Scarborough residents
• Fight skin cancer with dermatoscope investment
• Continue funding research into bladder cancer
• Provide daily minibus transport to St James’ Hospital in Leeds for radiotherapy treatments 
• Provide luxury respite breaks to 100 cancer patients and their families annually.

Award-winning volunteering

The York Against Cancer team is renowned for services to volunteering. In fact, our volunteers’ work is so outstanding, we have received the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.
